Hmmm...I quite like both imp boys. I just need to decide which would be better with this girl:

It pretty much comes down to spines vs. smoke. The boys are identical for primary and tertiary colors + genes, and only one off for tertiary color (splash vs. sky). I get the impression that crackle is more dominant over spines than over smoke?

Yep! Spines is limited, crackle and smoke are both uncommon. So crackle and smoke will give you 50/50 offspring, and crackle and spines will be 85 crackle/15 spines.
