This morning, I was fortunate (so I thought) to grab hold of a daub scroll from the marketplace, fifteen seconds before the entire stock vanished. I'd had a dragon I'd been planning to daub, and after some searching I'd found her an appropriately-colored ripple/shimmer mate. I always aim to breed brand new genes against gem genes, because treasure genes will usually override them. I once made the mistake of gening up a coatl and mating her with another treasure gene dragon, and got no offspring with the desired gene in the first hatching.

So. I had the dragon. I had the scroll. I had a mate. I had an open nest. I gene her up and set them to breed. And I get a two-egg nest. Disappointing, but not a tragedy. Given how much daub dragons are still going for on AH, I felt pretty good about recouping most of my expense. Then I got impatient and bought myself a boon of fertility. To recap: a speckle/daub pearlcatcher crossed with a ripple/shimmer imperial. Two eggs. One of them produced a lovely speckle/daub pearlie boy who's up on auction for a respectable sum. He takes after his father -- who is now wearing a Tunic of Shame and looking at speed exalting if I don't feel better about him. The youngling is free to a good home, if anyone would like him.

I have four skydancer babies I'm looking to rehome. Two are white/maize/maize, and the other two are triple maize. all are Iri/Seraph/Crackle. The seraph actually looks really good, which is a bit of a surprise, and I think the white/maize/maize is actually a bit prettier than the triple maize.
