Actually yeah, I got three eggs in 350 chests this morning. (I did not farm all those this morning, but I kinda hate opening them so I left them overnight. Wish we had a bulk open command for those.)
I'm torn about what to do with my scroll. On the one hand, change any gened up dragon I want to Nocturne! On the other, sell it for a crapton of money. Hrm.
I finally got an egg. I was on vacation and traveling the entire event until Friday, so I haven't had a chance to do serious farming until yesterday. I just wanted one, and now I have my little boy.
Nope, but then I haven't been seriously grinding. The four chests I got from gathering and the final stages of leveling up a couple of shadow-colored Exalt dragons contained junk (well, at least some of it was food).
On the other hand, it occurred to me, after checking the ancestry of the little Gen 2 Nocturne I bought, that you can breed Nocs with one Noc parent and a Coatl or WC. My male Noc will likely breed the blue/green Nocs I want with one of my existing WCs, and I picked up a real cheap Coatl to pair with the Gen2 female.
Now all I need to do is save for genes for the Nocs.
Yeah, the thing for checking rarity is to look at the breeding cooldown of the dragon. (Or its rarity in its description.) Dragons with longer breed cooldowns are rarer to breed out of a nest with mixed breed rarity on the parents. So it goes WC-Coatl (rarest) < Imps-Nocs (limited) < Skydancers (uncommon) < Spirals-Pearlcatchers-Snappers-Ridgebacks < Tundras-Mirrors-Fae-Guardians (common).
I'm actually thrilled that we have another species to breed 50-50 with Imps. I like mixed-breed nests. :)
I haven't found any scrolls, but I've found a cumulative I think 7 eggs so far. I traded one for a noc boy and bought a matching girl off the AH, so I don't actually plan on hatching them any time soon. Maybe when I have more lair space?
I got my first and only egg the day before yesterday AT LAST. And my very last chest today had a familiar, which is better than nothing :) I didn't do any grinding at all so I'm happy enough.

Maybe I'll sell one for lair space. One or two.
