*swipes at dust*
Hello hello! Is anyone still here? Or, perhaps more accurately, is anyone still here and playing the game?
I admit, there hasn't been a whole lot that held my attention the last couple of years. Most fairground games don't hold my attention, the bogsneaks did not appeal at all, and the latest coliseum venue doesn't really grab me. As a result, the last couple years I've mostly been keeping my dragons fed, listing things on the auction house just for things to do and to make sure I had enough funds for monthly events, and helping my flight on dominance pushes when my luxury time overlapped. Which sounds like a more interesting list of things than it actually is, as I was mostly just going through the motions. I've actually been getting most of my "ooooo, dragons!" jollies from Merge Dragons in recent months, though it's a different kind of "ooooo, dragons!" jollies.
This week, though, they introduced the first of the new category of Ancient Breeds, the Gaolers, and finally there was something that grabbed my attention well! It helped that my flight has dominance this week though I wasn't able to participate in the push. As a result I have largely depleted my years' worth of funds, engaged in a lot of auction house flipping, parted with a few duplicates of rarer items and ended up with dramatic revamps of 7 of my older pairs. (It helped that gene plotting and raising the funds helped distract me from some real life stress.
Most seem to be going for "terrifying prehistoric winged cat!" in geneing their gaolers, and it's easy to see why. I do wish, though, that iri/shim was an option for Gaolers.
Anyway, my newly-dramatically revamped dragons (admittedly often gened more for "I like how this looks" than for how their offspring will look):

Anyone else make or buy themselves some gaolers yet?

Date: 2019-06-15 05:14 pm (UTC)I converted two of my project pairs whose gem-gene offspring weren't selling these days:
Orkhai
Anchuelo
They had 3 eggs in their first nest, and I used Boon of Fertility to hatch them right away (I've never bothered to do that before). One of them sold at my NEW! AH price, the other two are still there after two price drops. :-(
Aard
Arselei
They just Wegged me, the bums.
I recently discovered sniping auction fodder. I wasn't using my mouse/keyboard to full advantage previously, but I can now snatch the cheap fodder about 60% of the time and make a handsome profit. I had more than 2.5 million Treasure and 7.5 thousand gems when the Gaolers dropped, so I was able to gene up all my transformed dergs.
I'm thinking maybe I'll wait for the next Ancient breed before doing any more.
