After looking at the AH and Tumblr's #flight rising tag, I have to say the hatchlings are incredibly adorable! Less charmed by the adults but I still wouldn't mind having some in my lair.
The babies are so cute!!! They remind me of otters because they are all belly-up. I don't like the female adults as much as the guys though...
So tempted to spend all my treasure on a baby, even though I'm sure prices will go down later. (Saw an all-green baby on the AH a second ago, but looks like it's already gone!)
I don't think I can afford them at the moment! (Just spent a lot of treasure on scrolls and lair expansion…) But maybe next week, after I make some money leveling up and exalting dragons for Nature's dominance push…
They are incredibly adorable as hatchlings though! I agree the males are cuter than the females…thinking of putting together a Wildclaw female/Coatl male pair when I finally have the treasure for it. XD
Breed change scrolls and boons of fertility. I saw at least a few people with breeding pairs in their nests when I poked the search.
I was already planning on buying some gems on this paycheck, so I went ahead and splurged on one... I'll let this comm know when I have babies! (I do not plan on selling them for a zillion dragondollars, that is ridiculous.)
I think I like them, still letting the design settle in my mind. The babies are ADORABLE but make me want actual winged kittens/cats. Maybe next time :)
For me, they push the same buttons as tundras -- adorable and fluffy! Am seriously considering turning a couple of my (way too many) tundras into coatls. And I really like that bright colors and virtually every gene look good on them. But I still like the more elegant dragons better; imps and SDs remain my faves.
I agree, both Tundra and Coatl hatchlings elicit that same "awww!" reaction from me. I'm currently overrun with Spirals myself; if I had the gems, I would definitely be tempted to change them to Coatls.
The small icons in the AH do them no favors. In full-sized images, the babies are all bi-eyed stubby-legged cuteness, but in the icons I initially had a hard time placing their various body parts. I do think the babies are a lot cuter than the adults, but I think that about all breeds except snapper and tundra.
Nod, I like browsing the Tumblr tag for that reason, since everyone posts full-sized images there. It still took me a while though to notice exactly where their stubby arms and legs were. XD
