I bought my first skin!

In general, I think skins are a little weird, because we place all this emphasis on color, and then skins cover everything up. But this one's pretty damn cool.






I imagine that she now makes an ominous clanking sound when she walks.

If you do get another one, I'd certainly appreciate it! I've gotten two more skins as drops, but they are both the female Snapper terra cotta skins! (Speaking of which, I am also happy to trade that one for a malachite skin.)

How high level do your dragons have to be fighting before you get things like skins as Coli drops? I've never got anything more impressive than a Familiar there, but my most senior dragons are only lvl. 8.

I think the skin drops depend on the element of the enemies you're defeating, rather than anything to do with level. So skin drops happen with Earth enemies, with a somewhat lower chance with neutral enemies. Of course, the areas with more Earth and neutral enemies are more likely to yield such drops, and according to the forums, the best ones for grinding are Training Grounds, Woodland Path, Scorched Forest, Waterway and Arena. My dragons aren't high enough level for Arena, but I've tried all the rest, and the only one I've had any luck with is Scorched Forest. I'm giving Training Grounds another try today though; I have a lot of hatchlings that just grew up into adults that I'm planning to exalt since they're not selling.

I must be doing something very, very wrong in the Coliseum, then — although I can't imagine what. I have fought enough battles to have earned the "Warrior" distinction, yet the best things I've ever got out of all that were a couple of familiars. Often I don't get any loot, and usually what I do get is just food or maybe leafy packs with a little treasure. A couple of times I've got battle stones or minor healing potions. And I have fought in all of the the first three places.

That's pretty much been the same for me in the first three areas outside of festival weeks. The drop rates overall do get better in some of the higher level areas? But the drop rates on festival chests in particular are so low and seem extremely arbitrary that I don't think there's any technique to it other than defeating as many Earth/neutral enemies as you can.

Sometimes you can get chests while digging, so that's another option if Coliseum isn't yielding anything for you?
