nest sharing?
Jun. 11th, 2014 11:32 pmI'm not 100% certain how it works (though I think I've figured out the basics) but I've seen people refer to sharing/loaning out their nests. Most of the dragons I've acquired since joining FR are hatchlings, and I'm not actively seeking dragons yet, just jumping on ones that appear before me, so I won't be able to use my 2 water nests for at least another week or so, if anyone needs nesting grounds for any reason.
And while i'm here anyway, can anyone tell me how to acquire a rename roken? I've seen them mentioned, but haven't been able to find any at the auction house or marketplace.

Date: 2014-06-12 06:08 am (UTC)I think only the serious breeders usually do it, but...the nests are sitting there, not doing anything, waiting to be put to use. (Though, of course, right after I posted this, I was given a lovely Maize male fae, but I think I'm going to hold off on breeding him until one of the females I'm waiting on is ready.)

Date: 2014-06-14 02:57 am (UTC)Yes, I've done it. It works the way you say. In fact, I have two guest dragons in my lair right now because the players wanted green babies with green eyes. They only had one egg, and the baby came out a funky color, so I've offered the services of my own appropriately colored dragons once the guests come off cooldown.
Neon Wings people do it all the time because Extreme Neon Wings require certain eye colors with the matching secondaries and tertiaries, The Neon Wings Hub advises charging a small amount to cover the host's food costs etc. unless a Boon of Fertility (which hatches a nest instantly) is supplied. I did it for free because one of the players was a friend here.
You do have to trust that the other person won't keep your dragons. The Official Line states that this is not something the mods can help with.
