I'm Shameless About My Dragons, So I'll Start

I'm chomiji over there as well, and I am rather fruitlessly trying to breed green Nature-y looking dragons. It would probably work better to just nuke exalt them all and start over, but I'm too attached to them, so instead I'm going uphill rolling a boulder: trying to buy enough gene mods to make all my Basic dragons have beautiful markings.

So where do you think Crim gets all her money? I should call my latest Lair expansion "The Crim Wing" because she's been so happy to pay me 500 T for broken glass and piles of sand.

But I have to confess that my heart belongs to tundras. I have eight so far, but I want to adopt every single unwanted tundra out there and snuggle them like giant reptilian golden retrievers. Here, have a tundra:

I'm a sucker for little Guardians, but I'm selling off my latest little spring-and-lemon one. And feeling terrible about it.

I belatedly decided I love eyespots and tiger stripes. And also that it's a fool's game trying to breed specific colors when what you have for parents are more than, say, 6 positions off from each other.

(I'm also bummed that Runestones is messed up again because that's how I make most of my treasure. Crim is my next-best source of income.)

I am a bit of a sucker for the tundras too, especially when they are fluffy little hatchlings!

Also, the other day I grabbed something from Pinkerton's pile and then immediately sold it to Crim. I was wondering if that was possible: apparently so!

She also seems to persist when she doesn't get something. She was asking for a Black Orpington (hen) for ages.

Also, through her requests, I have learned of the existence of many many things I haven't actually seen in the game. When do I stop finding the same old things when I gather, fer goshsakes? I gather every day, really I do.

The babies are cute but the adults look like grumpy hippos. Not My Thing. I'm superficial like that. XD

I have very mixed feelings about the dragon apparel. I've been buying my dragons bits and pieces of jewelry and such, but the full-on costumes are too much for me!

The only apparel I've bought was the Plague festival stuff, because I figured I could sell it later for a chunk of treasure, and I was right. I own a few things from drops, and finally used one--I put a fedora on my all-white tundra male because why not. He looks just about as silly as I expected, but he's got a sly grin that makes it look like he's in on the joke.

Hmmm, maybe I should put my Plague stuff up for sale too. I can always get Bat-Erev another bangle of some sort. But I like the effect of those graveyard drapes on Korach. He's such a pink ball of fur otherwise: they give him a little edge.

(I wish we could put hyphens and apostrophes in names. It should be Bat-Erev and Sa'ar ... .)

Oooh, I bet she does play fairgrounds all the time! Maybe she was even responsible for that apparent crash a couple of hours ago!

(Somehow I feel that I know you already, but when I check our fandoms, we have, like, nothing in common. Maybe we chatted a bit at some mutual friend's journal?)

My goal is also to breed green-ish Nature dragons! I haven't been too successful so far although I am now being a lot more discriminating about the color ranges I set up in an attempt to have All the Green Dragons in my lair. I have discovered also that people don't like the green range too much unless they are in Nature or Wind Flight or breeding for doubles/triples (which I don't like).

Anyway, hurrah for having similar breeding plans! Perhaps we can do hatchling trades!

That would be excellent! (I actually have a leaf/forest/brown (all basic) hatchling on auction right now, because she's too closely related to all the color-suitable males.)

Ooops, yeah! The two events — my post, and the sale — happened with such synchronicity that I was totally bemused. This was the second time I had put her up for sale, so I wasn't really expecting that result.

Having this comm will make it much easier to offer hatchlings to people I know, though.
