It's too busy for some of the tertiaries, IMO: like clown as far as that goes.

I didn't like the previews that we got in previous updates, but now that the actual genes are released and I've seen them in Scrying Workshop, I have completely fallen for them!

Now adding yet more scrolls to my list of FR items to save up for...

Yeah, the only tert I've seen that I like with them is Underbelly. But they do look super-nice on neutrals; I'm particularly fond of them on Soil/Soil and White/White.

I think they look better on the drab colors than any other gene.

They really are handsome! They've done some very careful work on these: I tried previewing them on one of my older non-breeding dragons, a Leaf Tiger / Avocado Eye Spots / Soil Basic mirror lady, and it was breathtaking: the bars joined up perfectly with the daub markings on the wings.

Exactly. I basically consider them dedicated for double or near-miss dragons, because they fit so well.

Yeah, I have some underbelly dragons that I was planning to upgrade with Smoke, but at this point, I may or daub and/or daub instead!

I am so, so excited. I might break my own policy and dump a bunch of cash on buying the scrolls through the AH. I was also thinking of a fertility boon to make sure I can recoup my expense. Actually, I think maybe I'll do an interest check post.

Agree on the terts, except for underbelly. Maybe underbelly in the same range?

Daub actually looks smashing with underbelly in either of my two breeding programs, IMO, either the brights with dark primary "Neon Wings" thing or the green shades "all the way down." I think it works especially well with xyy or near-xyy

In fact, it's so pretty that I may have to splurge to doll up a couple of my (non-breeding) senior combat dragons who aren't wearing skins. BatErev's storm blue wings were heart-breakingly gorgeous with daub in preview.
