Mania came already named. I should be able to get some nice blue/green hatchies from them. I was thinking about starting a line of blue/green dragons anyway. And I have been looking at ways to gene them up.

Cute! And as a FR veteran, are there…more streamlined ways of gene-ing up dragons than grind/sell stuff/trade/pet familiars/play Runes until my eyes cross? I'm not complaining, I'm just curious if you have any tips.

I just plug away at it some most days. It doesn't have to be for long on any one day. Any little thing ... I mean, Crim looks like diddly squat, but if you hit her 10 times a day and the average payout is 1000 T, that's a little chunk of change by the end of the day. Ditto Tomo, every morning, and if you have a lot of familiars running at any given time, you get chests pretty often.

I know that sometimes people talk about writing scripts of various sorts to hit the Coliseum or whatever, but that's against the terms of service and I don't feel entitled enough about this free game to do something like that.

I think it maybe took me 10 - 14 days to save up enough money from all sources to buy a Crystal gene? That's a pricey one, and I don't spend as much time grinding as a lot of people do.

There are people who spend meatspace money to buy gems for this stuff ... that's not my thing. I'm doing this because it's free as well as being pretty to look at. And I'm old and patient!

FINALLY: I don't get most of my breeding stock dragons by breeding! It's cheaper to shop the AH for bargain dragons that are one gene off or so from what I'm after, and then I just add the missing gene. The AH is full of people trying to get rid of dragons. I just bide my time and search for what I want. It's much easier now that you can search by genes and colors.

If you do it right, buying dragons on the AH to level and exalt is literally 1kT per minute invested. One does need to spend time and money on the setup for the trainer dragons, but you get money for all the items you collect along the way, too. Just have to be careful not to have too many feels about the little hatchies -- I myself have decided that the Lightweaver delights in, er, striking colorations, and that it's great for everyone when her favorites go to her, but you may be either more or less susceptible to that narrative than I. :)

Ahhh, hadn't thought of using AH dragons. Good suggestion considering I keep getting wayyyy too attached to my hatchlings. :/
